Connect PostDaily to ChatGPT

PostDaily isn't in ChatGPT's app directory yet, so you add it yourself with developer mode. It takes about two minutes. OpenAI decides who can use developer mode, and it can depend on your plan and your workspace's settings. If you don't see the option, ask your workspace admin.

Turn on developer mode

   On a Business, Enterprise or Edu workspace, an admin may have to allow it first, or create the app for the whole workspace.

Add PostDaily

   Name it PostDaily

   Add a short description, such as "Schedule and publish my social posts". ChatGPT shows it when it decides which tool to use.

   Under Connection, enter the server URL

   Use https://mcp.postdaily.app/mcp and create the connection.

   Sign in to PostDaily when ChatGPT asks

   PostDaily opens. Choose Full access, Drafts only or Read only, tick the workspaces ChatGPT may use and select Allow access.

Use it in a chat

Start a new conversation and add PostDaily from the tools menu (the + next to the message box). Then ask, for example, "List my PostDaily channels" or "Draft three posts about our new menu for Instagram and schedule them for next week."

Photos and videos

ChatGPT can't pass a file from your phone or computer straight to PostDaily. Ask it for an upload link: it opens your PostDaily media library in the right workspace. Upload your images, videos or PDFs there, tell ChatGPT you're done, and it attaches them to your post.

If something doesn't look right

• OpenAI moves these menus often. These steps were checked on 2 October 2026. If a label has changed, look for developer mode in ChatGPT's settings, then a way to add an app or plugin by URL.
• ChatGPT says it can't find a channel. It only sees the workspaces you ticked. Disconnect it in Settings → AI agents in PostDaily and connect again to choose different ones.
• To disconnect, open Settings → AI agents in PostDaily and select Disconnect next to ChatGPT. It stops working on its next request.
