Counted the way X counts
X allows 280 characters, weighted: every link counts as 23 however long it is, and emoji and Chinese, Japanese or Korean characters count as 2. PostDaily's counter uses the same rules, so a post it accepts is a post X accepts. There are no long posts through the API.
Threads, polls and reply settings
Write a thread as separate posts, each with its own images or video, up to 25. Add a poll with 2 to 4 choices of up to 25 characters, open from 5 minutes to 7 days (a poll can't carry media). Choose who can reply: everyone, accounts you follow, mentioned users, subscribers or verified accounts. Polls and reply settings apply to the first post.
The monthly X budget
X charges for every post made through its API, so each paid plan includes a monthly X budget: about 40 posts on Starter, 170 on Pro and 710 on Agency. A post with a link costs X about 13 times as much, so a month of link posts covers 10 on Starter, 45 on Pro and 190 on Agency (a link typed without https:// still counts). Each post in a thread counts on its own, and reading a post's metrics uses a little of the budget too. Your billing page shows what is left.
When X says no
When the month's budget runs out, X posts fail with a message saying so and aren't retried automatically, so nothing spends past it; retry them once the budget resets. X rejects a post whose text duplicates a recent one, and PostDaily records that in X's words rather than retrying it.
X is on paid plans only
X charges per post through its API, so it isn't on the Free plan, and each paid plan's X budget is finite. If X is the only network you post to, X's own tools may be all you need. Uploads accept JPEG, PNG, WebP and video, not GIF.
