Connect Claude, ChatGPT and other AI apps

PostDaily runs an MCP server, the standard way AI apps connect to other tools. Once you add it, an app like Claude or ChatGPT can list your channels, write and check posts against each network's rules, schedule them into your queue and read your analytics — all in your own workspaces, with the same plan limits and approvals as the PostDaily app.

It works on every plan. The server URL is https://mcp.postdaily.app/mcp, and you'll also find it in Settings → AI agents with a setup guide for each app.

Connect an app that signs in with PostDaily

Most apps — Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, VS Code, Gemini CLI, Windsurf, Zed, Goose and LM Studio — need only the server URL. They send you to PostDaily to approve access, so you never paste a password or key into the app.

   Add PostDaily as a connector in your AI app

   In Claude, open Settings → Connectors, choose Add custom connector, name it PostDaily and paste the server URL. In ChatGPT, turn on Developer mode in settings and add an app with the server URL. Other apps have their own steps in Settings → AI agents, several with a one-click install button.

   Sign in to PostDaily when the app opens it

   If you last signed in more than a day ago, PostDaily asks you to sign in again before it lets you grant access.

   Choose what the app can do and which workspaces it can use

   Pick an access level (below) and tick the workspaces. In a workspace where you're a viewer, the app can only read.

   Select Allow access

   You're returned to the app, which can now use PostDaily. Try asking it to list your channels.

Claude Code: install the plugin

In Claude Code, the PostDaily plugin adds the server plus skills for uploading files from your computer and turning a release into posts, and it asks you before anything publishes right away, deletes or cancels a post, or schedules a batch.

   In your terminal, run claude plugin marketplace add mehedihasan2810/postdaily-claude-plugin

   Run claude plugin install postdaily@postdaily

   Sign in

   In Claude Code, run /mcp, choose plugin:postdaily:postdaily and authenticate. PostDaily opens in your browser to approve access, as above.

Access levels

• Full access — create, schedule, publish, reschedule, cancel and delete posts; upload media; read everything.
• Drafts only — create and edit drafts and upload media. Nothing is scheduled or published until someone does it in PostDaily.
• Read only — read channels, posts, queue and analytics. Cannot change anything.

Use an API key instead

Some apps and automations can't sign in with PostDaily — Cline, JetBrains AI Assistant, n8n, Make and your own scripts. They use an API key and a separate URL, https://mcp.postdaily.app/key/mcp.

   Open Settings → AI agents and select API key

   Give it a name you'll recognise later, choose an access level and workspaces, and pick when it expires — 30 days, 90 days, 1 year or never.

   Copy the key straight away

   It's shown only once. Paste it into your app as a bearer token (Authorization: Bearer followed by the key), or store it in a password manager.

Disconnect an app or revoke a key

Settings → AI agents lists every connected app and API key with the workspaces it can use and when it was last used. Disconnect or Revoke takes effect on its next request.

• Changing or resetting your password disconnects every AI app and revokes every API key you created, so connect them again afterwards.
• An app you haven't used for 60 days has to sign in to PostDaily again.
• Leaving a workspace, or being removed from it, removes that workspace from your connected apps too.

If the app can't connect

• Check the URL. Apps that sign in use the address ending in /mcp; API keys use the one ending in /key/mcp. Cursor ignores a key sent to the first one.
• It says it can't find a channel. The app only sees workspaces you ticked when you approved it. Disconnect it and connect again to choose different ones.
• A tool is missing. An app with Drafts only or Read only access isn't offered the tools it isn't allowed to use. Connect again with a higher access level if it needs them.
