Use PostDaily in Codex
Install PostDaily's Codex plugin, sign in once, and have Codex draft and schedule posts from your terminal or IDE, approving each call that could publish.
PostDaily's plugin for Codex adds the server plus skills for uploading files from your computer and turning a release into posts. Codex asks you before every call that can publish, schedule, delete or cancel a post. The same setup works in the Codex CLI and the Codex IDE extension.
Install the plugin
- 1Add PostDaily's plugin marketplace
In your terminal, run
codex plugin marketplace add mehedihasan2810/postdaily-codex-plugin - 2Install the plugin
Run
codex plugin add postdaily@postdaily - 3Sign in
Run
codex mcp login postdaily. PostDaily opens in your browser: choose what Codex can do and which workspaces it can use, then select Allow access.
Or add only the server
Run codex mcp add postdaily --url https://mcp.postdaily.app/mcp, then codex mcp login postdaily. You get the same tools without the skills.
Things to ask
- "Summarise this week's merged pull requests as a short post for Bluesky and Threads, and put it in my queue."
- "Upload the screenshot in
assets/launch.pngand draft an Instagram post with it." - "Which of my posts failed this week, and why?"
Disconnect
In PostDaily, open Settings → AI agents and select Disconnect next to Codex. It stops working on its next request.
