Bluesky video uploads are failing
Bluesky video uploads failing is almost always an unconfirmed email address on the account. Why text and images still work, and the fix.
If your Bluesky text and image posts publish perfectly but video is rejected, the cause is almost never your connection. Bluesky runs video through a separate service with its own rules, and the most common one to trip is that the account's email address must be confirmed.
Confirm your email in Bluesky
- 1Open Bluesky's own app or website
This has to be done in Bluesky, not in PostDaily.
- 2Go to Settings, then Account
If the email is unconfirmed, Bluesky shows a prompt to verify it.
- 3Confirm from the email Bluesky sends
Check spam if it does not arrive within a few minutes.
- 4Reconnect the channel in PostDaily
Open Channels, choose the Bluesky channel and reconnect, so the video service is authorized against the now-confirmed account.
Other things worth checking
- File size and length. Bluesky caps both, and a long or high-bitrate clip can be rejected where a shorter one succeeds.
- Format. MP4 with H.264 video and AAC audio is the safest combination. PostDaily converts common formats automatically, but an unusual codec can still fail.
- Daily limits. Bluesky limits how much video an account can upload per day. If uploads worked earlier and stopped, try again tomorrow before assuming anything is broken.
If video still fails after confirming your email, open the failed post — PostDaily records the message Bluesky itself returned, which usually names the real cause.
