Looking for a Planable alternative?
Planable is a collaboration tool first. Posts are laid out like documents that a team and its clients annotate, suggest edits to and approve, and it does that better than most. Pricing is per workspace with unlimited users. What sends people looking is usually narrower: a client has to join the workspace to approve anything, paid plans cap posts per month, and it does not publish to Bluesky or Mastodon.
Who should use which
Stay with Planable if review is the main event: several people annotating the same post, sign-off in more than one step, or blogs and newsletters planned beside social. Stay too if your team is large, since unlimited users on every plan beats any seat allowance. PostDaily fits when a client should approve without joining anything, when you post to Bluesky or Mastodon, or when a monthly post quota is the limit you keep hitting.

Leading with this because it decides the question for a lot of people, and you should not have to dig for it.
Its collaboration is deeper than ours
Planable has text annotations, suggested edits, version history, drafts and notes hidden from clients, and approval that can be optional, required or, on Enterprise, multi-level. PostDaily's review is one step: the client approves a post or leaves feedback. If several people edit the same post before it goes out, Planable is built for that and we are not.
Unlimited users on every plan
Planable does not charge per person. PostDaily plans include a seat allowance: 1 on Starter, 3 on Pro and 10 on Agency. For a large team sharing one workspace, Planable's model is the better one.
It publishes to networks we don't
Planable publishes to LinkedIn and Google Business Profile, which PostDaily does not yet.
It plans more than social
Blog posts, emails and newsletters can be drafted and reviewed in the same place as social posts. PostDaily only handles what it publishes.
Where PostDaily is the better fit
A client approves from a link, with no account
Planable's own help centre says public share links let a client view and comment but not approve; approving means being an invited member of the workspace. PostDaily's review link lets the client approve or leave feedback straight from the browser. There is nothing to join, and rotating or revoking the link ends access.
Bluesky and Mastodon
Neither is on Planable's list of networks. PostDaily publishes to both, counting Bluesky posts by grapheme the way Bluesky does and holding each Mastodon server to its own character limit.
No monthly post quota on paid plans
Planable's Basic plan allows 60 posts per workspace a month and Pro allows 150; the free plan is 50 posts in total, which do not reset. PostDaily's paid plans schedule as many posts as you like, with a monthly budget on X only, because X charges us per post.
A queue with a schedule per channel
PostDaily is built around the queue: each channel has its own weekly posting times and new posts take the next open slot. When something fails, you see the network's own error, and posts for a disconnected channel wait for you to reconnect instead of failing.

Common questions
- Do Planable clients need an account to approve posts?
- To approve, yes. Planable's help centre says public share links allow viewing and commenting but not approval, so a client approves as an invited workspace member. Those accounts cost nothing, because Planable does not charge per user. PostDaily's review link lets a client approve with no account at all.
- Does Planable support Bluesky or Mastodon?
- Neither appears in the list of networks in Planable's help centre, checked on 27 September 2026, and searching its help centre for either returns nothing. PostDaily publishes to both.
- Is PostDaily cheaper than Planable?
- It depends on the size of the team. Planable Pro is $59 a month, or $49 billed annually, for 10 pages and unlimited users. PostDaily Pro covers 10 channels and 3 seats; compare its price on our pricing page. For a large team, Planable's unlimited users can make it the cheaper of the two.
- What does Planable do that PostDaily does not?
